What do you do?
The Values in Action engages its members individuals, educational institutions and corporations- through a proven Values in Action framework to practice values as an integral part of their daily lives. The framework involves activities, training workshops, seminars, literature and speakers.
How did you get started?
Inspired by the life and teachings our master, this Institute began in 2001 as a small office in Toronto. Our founder and director, Abhimanyu Kaul, enjoyed and experienced the benefit of values life; and was motivated to share the joy with others. Initially started with the assistance from youth volunteers, Values in Action, is now the corporation of like minded people from around the world.
What do you mean by “Values”?
Values are those core attributes which do not change with time and place; and always remain as the basis of any human activity. These are the inherent traits which drive superior human behaviour and nobler choices.
After decades of research across the globe and the study of various great masters, we have discovered that while different people use different words to voice their values, these concepts can be distilled into a set of five basic values Truth, Righteousness (Right conduct), Peace, Love and Non-Violence.
What is Values in Action?
Values in Action, is a single framework, discovered after extensive research, which can help everyone to practice values in their lives. Its application is universal and appeal timeless. The research has made it apparent that, irrespective of the geographical location and different circumstances, the core values that uplift human emotions to sublime levels remain the same. Further research towards the process and procedure for implementing these values lead us in identifying certain facets of action, thus, creating a unique Values in Action Framework that works for everyone under all circumstances.
What is your position on . . . ?
As a non-political and non-proselytizing organization, Values in Action focuses only on promoting universal human values in action. We focus our energies on helping people reason through the issues themselves, providing tools and frameworks to help parse the political, social, and moral debates under way. Our intent is not to tell people what to think, but to offer tools that help them with how to think through tough challenges using values in action.
I’m interested in having a speaker at my upcoming event. Who can I talk to about this?
